Virgin 10th anniversary flight to Vegas

Virgin Atlantic flight 043 from London’s Gatwick Airport touched down at the Las Vegas McCarran International Airport earlier this week to celebrate the 10th anniversary of service to the destination.

On hand to welcome the flight were Virgin Atlantic President Sir Richard Branson; Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman; and Rossi Ralenkotter, President/CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority…and lots of photographers. Naturally.

The aircraft is named after an American...and she's flying the Union Jack. Curious.

Branson chose Dita Von Teese, the North American burlesque artist, Playboy model and spouse to Marilyn Manson, for his photo opportunity. Curiously she seems to have a 747 named after her.
