According to a survey undertaken by the Business Travel and Meetings Show, Virgin Atlantic has the most attractive flight attendants with 53 per cent of those surveyed picking Virgin’s “red hotties”.
Business traveler reported the survey results and noted that the cabin crew from Singapore Airlines “received 18 per cent of votes for the top spot, while 12 per cent gave Etihad’s the thumbs up. Emirates’ staff came in fourth with 11 per cent, followed by Aer Lingus with six per cent.”
The survey results also fit in with the image Virgin Atlantic is trying to portray. Sleek, sexy, exciting. Some might claim Virgin Atlantic is objectifying their flight attendants, but after watching the following video, do you think they care? Probably not.
It is something of an urban myth that Virgin will only recruit good looking flight attendants as policy, obviously not something it confirms due to a potential equal opportunities issue. Being a stewardess on the Branson-owned airline is considered by most as one of the toughest jobs to get in that industry and is the last remaining bastion of the once glamorous profession that it was.
Even the high fliers of Hollywood aren’t immune to their charm, as Kelsey Grammer proved last year when it came to the media’s attention that he’d kniocked up a Virgin Atlantic stewardess he met somewhere between London and New York.
