The latest cover of Bloomberg Businessweek depicts two planes getting hot and heavy in the clouds to represent the upcoming merger of United and Continental Airlines.
Josh Tyrangiel, the editor of Bloomberg Businessweek, explained the inspiration for the magazine cover in a Tweet:
Last year, United Airlines and Continental Airlines announced a $3 billion merger that would create the world’s biggest airline. Since then, the two companies have been working tirelessly to iron out thousands of details of the merger, from what foods the new airline will serve to how employees should load dogs onto planes, according to the Los Angeles Times.
