I agreed with Joe, my serious clubbing days are behind me :-( , but occasionally I get the urge to reconnect with the 'old magic' and unfortunately it is no longer available. Real shame that the youngsters can't have that experience.

The london scene has all but died. It's not just the End and Turnmills but how about Bagleys at Kings Cross and Club UK in Wandsworth before them?

I'm glad I'm too old now to be that bothered but it is a shame for the younger generation as they don't know how good the clubbing scene used to be.

I will cherish my fond memories of all those clubs close to my heart. Awesome times...

Nah, I agree with the author. The last thing you need is to be worrying about where to go next - if the place you're in turns out to be a pile of pants - when you're off your tits already. And that's the issue with the smaller, lessor-known, suspect venues.

Excellent piece, but smaller clubs have their virtues and there's always the Brixton Academy for great gigs. Home I'm glad to see the back of but if Fabric goes that will be a crying shame.
